The stone foundation of our 1860s house in oak park had some big gaps in the joints that were allow pests to infiltrate into our basement, and in general was not in great shape. Skylight Roofing & Masonry came out and quickly gave us a very competitive quote for re-pointing the entire foundation, and replacing some crumbling stones. The team was very professional, and made quick work of grinding out all of the old joints, re-pointing them, and replacing the broken stones. Was a great experience working with them and we’re very happy with the results!

My three-flat brick condo building hired Skylight Roofing & Masonry this summer. They did extensive grind-and-tuckpointing on three sides of our building. They also replaced a limestone front step. I’ve worked with a lot of contractors on building projects over the years. I was impressed by the team. The owner is an excellent communicator. I love that he’s quick to pick up the phone to explain something. His team did excellent work and was pleasant to interact with. Also, when the limestone for the front step wasn’t a correct match, I was impressed by their immediate steps to fix it. Overall, they did excellent work and was very easy to work with. I would absolutely work with them again.

Skylight Roofing & Masonry was very prompt to return my call for an estimate. They also gave and did some great suggestions that needed to be done. We had our front Brick stairs repaired as well as our back concrete walk repaired. They had a quick turnaround on starting and completing the project. We had several cracks in the foundation and got several quotes. These guys quoted by far the best price and explained very well what and how they will be doing so we felt comfortable hiring them.
